For season 2006 my background team added more fuel for the flames by making a very covering rally calendar. Main goal for the season was set into PWRC and gaining success in there. I also did lots of rallies in WRC and Finnish Rally Championship series with World Rally Car. In Finland I kept up speed up by participating into Finnish Rally Championship series. After colorful events I was second in overall standings.
In Production World Rally Championship series I rallied with the car provided by four times World Rally Champion Tommi Mäkinen. 280hp group-N Subaru Impreza WRX STi Spec-C with 5-speed sequental, big brakes, better aerodynamics and Reiger suspension gave me two valuable victories after tough season opening half. I was victorious in Australia and in New Zealand. Unfortunately technical difficulties and punctures left me without possibilities to gain the title of PWRC.
In big boys World Rally Championship series I rallied with Stobart Motorsport Ford Focus RS WRC'06 rally car. I was able to rally highly competitive special stage times but I was ran out of luck in most important parts of the season. I nearly was about to gain my first podium in season final WRC event at Wales as I finished the event into 4th position.
Season 2006 is to be remembered as season of success. After the season I took next step in my rally career by stepping into manufacturers satellite team with very competitive rally car.
